This review is for my first experience using The Auto Doc. After experiencing issues getting my car to start over the weekend, I dropped my car off at The Auto Doc. I used the after hours drop off box and received a call from Chris first thing the next morning. After diagnosing that the issue was likely related to my neutral safety switch, Chris informed me that the replacement part would take a day to arrive. Later in the afternoon, Chris called me again to inform me he was able to get my car to consistently start after working with my current neutral safety switch. He informed me that the issue could start happening again after some time, or it may never come back. I appreciate that I wasn't given the "better safe than sorry" line and sold a repair that may or may not have been necessary. If I do experience additional issues with my vehicle in the future, I will definitely be bringing it to The Auto Doc. When I arrived to pick up my car I was only charged a diagnostic fee, which I felt was very reasonable. A+ for communication and A + for honesty.

This was my second time there. The first time i had my starter replaced and that went well. The 2nd time i went in because my AC stopped blowing cold. I took it there and i was told they woukd do a full check of the AC system. They later told me the system was out and needed to be fully replaced and it would cost about $2500. I decided to take it somewhere else for a 2nd opinion. Well come to find out all i needed was freon in the system. There were no leaks and the system has been working properly ever since. Im not sure why they said i would need to fully replace my ac system. But i would question all their repair diagnose. I paid under $110 buck for my repairs and my AC is fine. But they wanted to charge me $2500. 🤔🤨

The gentleman I spoke to on the phone that had assisted me with my car was very professional and reasonable, considering my unfortunate incident with my tires and rotar that had happen on one of Houston’s busiest streets. I can’t thank them enough along with AAA and would highly recommend them To anyone in the Houston metro area who needs auto mechanic work

Great customer service. Fair prices. This is the one place I feel I can take my car, and I won’t be cheated out of every penny I can afford. I was given a ballpark price range for my car problem, and the cost came in solidly in the middle. The only downside is needing to call to make the initial appointment, but this is a very small inconvenience compared to the great service.

I like the honest job because they just perform the job that was really need it.

Took my car in because it was making a mysterious sound and I wanted to see if they could figure out what it was. I figured it wasn't the sound system because it was off. I spent $40 for them to tell me that the car was safe to drive but they didn't know what was wrong with it. They even went as far to say that the sound would lead to a failure and that I would need to bring my car in eventually to get it fixed. I was given the option to bring my car in another day and pay $150 for them to look at it "in depth" and do a full diagnostic. The next day I decided to look at it myself after posting about my problem on a facebook page. I was able to find that the sound was coming from the rear right hand speaker. I found a tutorial online on how to remove the speaker and took it out. The issue isn't "fixed" but at least the car isn't making the sound anymore and it was only a speaker and not a failure that would cause the car not to drive. I am disappointed and shocked that a car shop would take my money and not even tell me what the issue was when it was as simple as wiring to a speaker and easily identifiable. They prey on women who they don't think know any better.

After moving to Houston and meeting mechanics that did more harm than good, a couple of recommendations from neighbors and a Google Search brought me to The Auto Docs. Not only did Dave, Chris and their Crew take excellent care of my vehicle, but they always took the time to explain the repairs and inform me on future issues to keep an eye on. The Auto Doc has my confidence as well as my top recommendation for an honest, reliable and efficient auto repair shop.

I really enjoyed my experience here. It was my first time bringing in my car for a full yearly inspection, oil change and tire rotation. The prices were good, Chris was very communicative throughout the entire process and the service was done very quickly! Chris is also honest, genuine and very professional. I trust him and the whole team. I found my go-to spot to always bring my car!! Thank you!!!!
